TRIClasses begin in September! ב''ה

We are happy to announce the launching of TorahResource Institute (TRI), with classes beginning in September, 2011. We are working on the TRI Catalog which will be available in May. In addition to laying out the perspective and goals of TRI, the catalog will also give the details regarding programs, classes, and admission requirements.

We hope that you will take a few minutes to visit the TRI website and help us get the word out about our school. Please take a few minutes to watch the short Introductory Video and explore the rest of the site.

On the website you'll also be able to sign up for our Friends & Supporters Network, which will keep you informed about the progress we're making at TRI. We hope that many of you will commit yourselves to pray for us, for we know that only as God confirms the work of our hands will we be successful in this endeavor.

TJHA Note from the Director, Tim Hegg

As we have planned and worked to begin TorahResource Institute, we have constantly been reminded just how dependent we are upon God's mercy and favor to “confirm the work of our hands” (Ps 90:17).

For years the Lord has burdened me for the need we have to educate leaders and teachers within the Torah movement. Clearly we live in a time when information is available as never before, and in many ways, this is a great advantage for anyone who desires to learn and to teach. But, as we all know, the availability of information has also created the very big problem of misinformation. In our times, teachers and students of the word of God must be well equipped to separate truth from error—to know the difference between the mere speculations of imaginative minds and genuine facts based upon solid evidence and primary sources.

But knowing the facts, as essential as this is, is not enough. Teachers and Leaders in a Torah community must also be spiritually fit. They must have hearts and minds that have been overwhelmed with the glory of God's grace in His Messiah, Yeshua, and are passionate to share with others the riches they themselves have found in Him. In one sense, a good teacher is simply a beggar who has found bread, and is eager to tell other beggars where they can find it too.

At TRI, we will never separate the necessity for a personal, vibrant, spiritual relationship with God from the requirement of solid academics and the study of God's word. Thank you for your interest in TorahResource Institute. Together, and by God's grace, we can help train Teachers and Leaders now and for the coming generations.

Congratulations to Caleb & Lacacia

“He who finds a wife finds a good thing
and obtains favor from Adonai” (Prov 18:22)

Rick and Jamie Cardoza, together with Tim and Paulette Hegg, are happy to announce that their children, Lacacia Cardoza and Caleb Hegg are engaged to be married on July 10, 2011. We are grateful to the Lord for bringing their lives together and we rejoice with them in anticipation of their wedding day.
